Mastering the Call to Action
Digital Advertising in Sunshine Coast means nothing if you do not know ways to use your Call to Actions or (CTA's), because a Call to action can be the easiest way for you to establish a lead. It can make or break depending upon how weak or strong your CTA is, so I wish to give you a few tips to make sure that you are doing the best you can to grow your brand and create those critical leads.
Wording
Really basic,
stay clear from common words that are going to make you seem desperate or like
you are pushing for a sale. For example, selecting between the words, 'buy' and
'shop' as a CTA, one might imagine that they both mean the same thing. But you
must understand that many people on the net tend to avoid commitment, and so
subconsciously even there is a propensity for customers to think that the term
'buy' is locking them into something, whereas 'shop' is a way for them to learn
more information. The point I am attempting to make is that you really should
consider the wording and avoid words that have unintentional results.
Shape and Colour
It may seem unusual, but Shape and colour of your CTA can affect its success. In the world of Digital Advertising there have been a variety of research studies into the concept of layout and its affect upon a customer's perception, and essentially one theory claims that curves are the most suitable way to go. So, if you wish to try and optimise even further, think about making the button for your call to action curved, rather than a square.
Now, colour,
this is yet another area that there are a few theories on. Some people would
have you think that green is fantastic because it means 'go', but to avoid red
because it is 'stop', or that blue is calming so it would make customers more
relaxed ... Eventually there really isn't any conclusive evidence to suggest one
option over another, so just opt for what works best for your design. One thing
that I will mention though is that you should understand the font size and
colour-- If you want your digital advertising to be most efficient in the
Sunshine Coast area, it is a smart idea to try and keep it different from the
rest of your content, but don't go too wild.
Location
Where your call
to action is set is quite vital to digital advertising success.
All that I mean
by this is see to it that you don't have it tucked away behind-the-scenes
somewhere, or that you have way too much text that is complicating the Call to
action.
Eventually it
all comes down to finding out the combination that works for you, remember your
wording, shape, colour, size and positioning of your brand's Call To Action,
and when you bring all the factors together just think practical and think
about your client.
